Review by hotel critic
Nestled near the enchanting Reynisfjara Black Beach, the Barn Hostel proved to be a delightful base for our Icelandic adventure. Though initially hesitant about hostel life, the spacious dormitory with privacy curtains and modern decor quickly made us feel at home. We cherished the community atmosphere, forming connections with fellow travelers while preparing meals in the well-equipped shared kitchen. The convenient location allowed us to explore the awe-inspiring landscapes of Iceland, from the Mýrdalsjökull glacier to the dramatic cliffs that define the South Coast. After a day of adventure, unwinding at the cozy lobby bar, complete with local beers, was the perfect way to end the evening. With its clean facilities and welcoming staff, the Barn Hostel emphasizes comfort without compromising on fun. If you're drawn to Iceland's natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere, this stay promises a memorable experience.
